Pavilion Dedication

The pavilion at the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park was dedicated to Wilson native Henry Walston on May 3rd, 2025. Walston was instrumental in the initial planning of the Whirligig Park and was a champion of the park, working tirelessly toward fundraising and with various entities to see that the park will live on long into the future. He will be missed by all in the community, and a huge crowd showed up to honor him at the pavilion dedication event.
