2025 Wilson Christmas Parade

The 2025 Wilson Christmas Parade is set to bring festive cheer to Downtown Wilson this Saturday, with more than 100 parade entries making their way down Nash Street. The parade begins at 11 a.m., traveling from Whitehead Avenue to Douglas Street, with the first block designated as a quiet zone for guests with sensory sensitivities. Rain or shine, families can expect a joyful morning filled with marching bands, dancers, floats, local organizations, first responders, and several first-time parade participants – including the Wilson Warbirds, Alpha Dog Cheerleaders, Smokey Bear with N.C. Forest Services, and bands from Greenfield School and Darden Middle School.

This year’s Grand Marshal is the Wilson Committee on Patriotism, led by committee head Ray Chamber, heading up a parade lineup that celebrates both community pride and holiday tradition. High school bands from across the area, the Silky Smooth Drum Line, cheer squads, pageant queens, scout troops, Jeeps from the Coastal Plains Jeep Club, the Wilson Fire/Rescue antique truck, and many more favorites will follow. Darden Middle School’s band will help welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus into town as they close out the parade atop the fire department’s Tower 1 truck. WHIG-TV will film the event, with performers stopping at their commentary booth for special 60-second features.

With packed sidewalks expected along Nash Street, now is the perfect time to plan your viewing spot and gather your friends and family for one of Wilson’s more beloved holiday traditions. Whether you’re cheering for your favorite band, waiting for Santa and Mrs. Claus, or simply soaking in the Christmas spirit, the Wilson Christmas Parade is the place to be this Saturday.
