Uncommon Threads
Wilson Arts is proud to announce the launch of its 2024 exhibition season with Uncommon Threads: Textile Invitational, a captivating group show spotlighting the creativity and innovation of 10 talented textile and fiber artists from across North Carolina.
This extraordinary exhibition showcases a diverse array of 2D and 3D works that challenge traditional fiber art techniques and stretch the boundaries of the medium. The featured artists include:

- Marie Cole (Wilson)
- Susan Fecho (Tarboro)
- Terri Dowell-Dennis (Winston-Salem)
- Renee J. Moore (Stantonsburg)
- Lori Richardson (Wilson)
- Sadie Rose (Wilson)
- Tonya Solley Thornton (Raleigh)
The exhibition opens on Thursday, January 16, with an opening reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Truist Event Gallery of the Wilson Arts Center. This event, as well as the exhibition itself, is free and open to the public. Uncommon Threads: Textile Exhibition will be on display through February 20.

Wilson Arts invites the community to join in this exciting start to the year and experience the vibrant, boundary-pushing works of some of North Carolina’s finest fiber artists.
Wilson Arts normal business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM. This schedule may be affected by private rentals.
